Food for Thought: Be Kinder

We can get so wrapped in our struggle that we forget about the struggle’s everyone else faces. In your day to day keep an open mind to what other’s are going through, but also be aware that some struggles can be avoided. So try not to get so wrapped up in being compassionate to the point where you feel sorry for that person, which then gets you more into their struggle than working on your own.

Foodie Friday: Food For Thought: Competition Elle here!!! I came across this message and it read:

“Your competition isn’t other people. Your competition is your procrastination. Your ego. The unhealthy food you’re consuming, the knowledge you neglect. The negative behavior you’re nurturing and your lack of creativity. Compete against that.”

This made me realize that we often times self-sabotage ourselves and our success by procrastination, our ego, and what we eat. Everything we do effects our total outcome. This message was a reflection of me, and the person I don’t want to continue to be. We all have greatness, yet we unconsciously find ways to F*ck Sh*t up, then we find ourselves stuck and wondering why we have not progresses, why we haven’t hit that height of success we know we can reach. I am truly guilty of this and am working hard to reach new heights every day. So let’s get out of our own way and make it happen for ourselves. After all we are HUSTLERS!!!!

Foodie Friday: Food for Thought…Stop the BullSh*t

Elle here!!!! While I had planned to give a recipe of my “Good Morning Oats,” I would be doing you and myself a disservice not being honest. I have been on a journey and I had been feeling amazing. I allowed myself to get sucked in to this ball of negative energy that was surrounding me until I allowed it to latch on to me. I can blame no one but myself. The result has left me working hard to get back to the happy place I was. I allowed myself to slightly get off of my wellness journey, not working out as much as I was and not always eating the best foods that I was eating. The most disturbing part is that I got off my HUSTLE!!!! There is nothing and no one that should throw you off your hustle and I let all the above do so. Even to the point that I started doubting myself, procrastinating, and having a clouded mind about my vision. I actually started thinking “hmmm, let me just work this job and forget about everything I have worked hard for, not this past year, but the past 10 years.”But after watching some motivational, videos, and having a few conversations with my most trusted friends, and knocking myself in the head, I realized that I have to push harder than before. How dare I allow myself to veer down a path not made for me. 

So, what happens when you get off your path, get discouraged, and get your self wrapped in the bullsh*t? You get a plan and execute. At this moment, as I write this blog I am mentally preparing to do a water fast, meaning only water. No food, no juice, just WATER. Why? Well, not only to experience the wellness benefits, but I am in need to serious mental clarity and I have to really push myself to the limits at this point. Water fasting has the abilities to heal your body in many ways; from glowing skin, removing toxins, better sleep, and healing ailments. 

So how do you get back on track:

*Zero in on what got you off track in the first place. Recognize it and work a plan to not allow that to happen again. If that means showing people the “exit door” out of your life and space then so be it.

*Be honest with yourself and what you want and desire. Visualize it and speak it out loud. KNow what you want and go for it, even if it isn’t quite the “norm.”

*Journal if that’s your thing. Take evening walks. Stretch, try yoga.

*Read and listen to as much motivational podcasts, videos, etc. Sometimes those will be your best motivation and inspiration when you can’t get it from friends and family. 

*Know that YOU are the best at everything you do and you deserve all that you want and desire. 

*Take no “NOs” because we are kicking down doors and busting windows.

There are no right or wrong ways to get back on track, just find what works for you and get back to it.

Food for Thought: Don’t Dream, Realize!

Stop smelling and starting tasting.

Success in all aspects of your life smell good, but taste even better. So my advice is to stop dreaming and start realizing your potential, your goals, your success. Get in tune with yourself so you can realize your purpose and all the amazing things that will unfold in your life.

For 10 years, I’ve had business that achieve some level of success and lots of failures. The most valuable things I’ve learned thus far are from trial and error. I am now at the point where I created a business J.U.N.K.; unintentional, and it’s already proved to be a success almost immediately. This is all due to me taking time to go on a personal journey to unfold my true purpose. 

We’re nearing the last 6 months of 2019. How are you going to make an impact on your life?

Food for Thought

I wish I could give y’all more this week, but I want you all to know that grateful living is the way to a life full of joy and success. Happiness is temporary. Lasting happiness is joy and the way to achieving that is grateful living. What is grateful living? Being grateful even in the worse of circumstances.

So evaluate your life and what’s important and start living gratefully.

Inside the Hustle: Unknown Opportunities


I am out here hustlin’, literally. So things have really been evolving for me since I got back to NC. Not only did I start my meal prepping business (which I’ll talk about another time), but I had the opportunity to shoot a campaign for the Just In Case On the Go Bag!

I had so much fun and of course the perks of modeling and representing a company are the best. All this came about because I stay authentic to who I am and my energy attracts the necessary people in my life. Not to mention, my great sense of style; wink wink.

The take away from this is, to be who you are and treat people with kindness. Be authentic and never switch it up to blend in. Stand out and the opportunities will come.

Foodie Friday: Raw Cashew Energy Bites!

These bites are EVERYTHING!!!!! So, I have really been cooking up some recipes every single week. Not only am I doing plant-based meal prepping for multiple customers, but I am experimenting in the kitchen with some delicious recipes. To my surprise, my raw cashew energy bits have become a HIT!!! Why I am surprised? Well the most closed minded people actually love them, which is a shock.

Anywho, these bites are packed with energy and deliciousness. It’s super quick and easy to make and has great benefits.

Some of the benefit of the bites:

The dates help the maintain weight, alternative sweetener, and energy booster.

Chia seeds help boost energy and stamina, aid in weight loss, cleanse the colon, reduce inflammation, and strengthen the immune system.
What You Need:

Raw un-roasted, unsalted cashews

4-5 dates

3/4 cup if shredded coconut (unsweetened if possible, but not a deal breaker)

A little less than 1/4 coconut sugar

Pinch of sea salt (to enhance the flavor)

Chia Seeds

What You Do:

In a food processor, put all the ingredients and blend until it creates a dough.

Once you have a dough scoop some of the mixture in your hand and sprinkle a few chia seeds and roll until you get a ball.

Continue doing this until you’ve used all the dough.

Dress with extra shredded coconut or leave bare. Enjoy now or put in the refrigerator to enjoy later.

It’s the perfect snack that keeps you happy and full! Enjoy alone or with a cup of coffee (minus all the creamer and sugar).

Foodie Friday: Summer Fruit

Elle here!!! So, summer is quickly approaching and I’m excited, but I’m not excited. Why? Well it gets hot and humid here in NC so that’s a drag. On the bright side of things, I’ll be eating lots and lots of fruit and you should too. Not only is fruit filling, but its full of great benefits and its a food that keeps you cool during the hot summer months.

Some of my go-to fruits are dragon fruit (pitaya), blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, strawberries, mango, jackfruit, and avocado. If you haven’t tried dragon fruit, its a MUST!!! Dragon fruit is packed with vitamin C, which helps keep our immune system strong. Other benefits includes, aiding in digestion, cardiovascular health, and anti-aging. So this summer give your inner body a glowing boost.
